Astanza Client Success: Newsworthy Features
Each year, a handful of our clients receive newsworthy recognition for their life-changing work with Astanza lasers. This year, three clients, in particular, gained recognition and special features from the local news, international channels, and even discovery+! Astanza client success newsworthy features spanned across 2022.
In January, Lisandra Chaviano, owner of Bad Habits Tattoos in Fort Lauderdale, FL, got the chance to perform laser tattoo removal using the Astanza Duality on Cuban rapper and singer Osmani García. García had unwanted face tattoos that needed removing and went to Bad Habits Tattoos to get the job done. Not only did García share his removal process on Instagram, but Hoy Dia, a news and entertainment show broadcasted by Telemundo, also featured his story. Luckily for García, Bad Habits Tattoos used the Zimmer Cryo cooling machine to help ease his low pain tolerance. Click here to watch the Hoy Dia feature.
In February, Garden Pathways, a non-profit organization in Bakersfield, CA, was interviewed by their local newspaper in Kern County, The Bakersfield Californian, about the positive impact they’ve had on their community thanks to their laser tattoo removal program. Garden Pathways added the Astanza Duality machine to their organization in May 2021 to provide free laser tattoo removal to community members and minors in need. Fast forward to May, Regretful Heart in Richmond, VA, got the opportunity to participate in discovery+’s all-new docuseries, “Jailhouse Redemption.” Owner Jessica Sebastion made a special appearance in the show’s premiere episode for offering free laser tattoo removal to inmates at Chesterfield County Jail. The free laser service was part of the jail’s Heroin Addiction Recovery Program (HARP) and allowed participants to remove regretful and inhibiting tattoos to further the inmates’ recovery and re-entry process. New Look Laser College Success Stories
We welcomed summer with two New Look Laser College (NLLC) success stories featuring Connecticut Tattoo Removal and Ink Eraser. Both of these businesses started with an idea and dream, which led to getting certified in laser tattoo removal at Astanza’s training division, New Look Laser College. Eventually, they blossomed into successful laser tattoo removal businesses.
Andrew Rodican, PA-C, attended New Look Laser College in August 2021 and later founded Connecticut Tattoo Removal. Rodican became interested in laser tattoo removal 12 years ago when very few specialty practices were around. After practicing medicine for 32 years and looking for a business to settle down with, Rodican decided to take the plunge and get certified in tattoo removal. Impressed with the Astanza Trinity technology he trained with at NLLC, Rodican purchased the triple-wavelength laser and got to work. Connecticut Tattoo Removal came to fruition with the help of Astanza’s service and marketing support and is expected to exceed its projected revenue goals for the year. Ink Eraser in Wexford, PA, was founded by Cassie Farkas after she received training at NLLC in November 2020. Before getting laser tattoo removal certified, Farkas specialized in cosmetology and had a deep passion for tattoos. After receiving laser removal, she became intrigued with opening her own laser tattoo removal business. Though there were many fears surrounding her new endeavor, Farkas’s hard work ethic, backed by Astanza and New Look Laser College’s support, Ink Eraser was established in November 2021. Show Off Your Shop was one of our favorite initiatives from 2022. This special client feature series gave an inside look at different practices through intimate interviews and exclusive video walk-throughs that allow viewers and potential clients to get to know our clients’ businesses.

Astanza is known for creating valuable resources that provide insight into the laser industry and help entrepreneurs, tattoo artists, MedSpa owners, laser technicians, physicians, and more get started or expand their careers with laser technology. In July, we hosted an informational webinar on how to succeed with laser hair removal, featuring special guest and Astanza client Brianna Ulrich, owner of Renew MedSpa in Detroit Lakes, MN. The webinar, Increase MedSpa Profits by Adding Laser Hair Removal, discussed topics like how to get started in the laser industry, MedSpa best practices, laser hair removal regulations, and more.
Ulrich started Renew MedSpa with laser tattoo removal and quickly expanded her business with the Astanza MeDioStar diode hair removal laser. Renew MedSpa has since climbed the ladder and is one of Detroit Lakes’ leading medical laser spas. Last but not least, Astanza attended the Global Homeboy Network in September, which is hosted by Homeboy Industries. Known as one of the largest nonprofit organizations helping high-risk youth and former gang members, Homeboy Industries offers free laser tattoo removal using the Astanza Duality to help individuals erase inhibitive markings of the past and start anew. Homeboy Industries hosts a global networking event each year that brings hundreds of affiliates together to educate those focused on building cost-free programs, social enterprises, and nonprofit organizations.
Homeboy Industries is one of the many nonprofit organizations and correctional programs with which Astanza has worked closely over the years. Their mission aligns perfectly with Astanza’s core value of #ChangingLives through cutting-edge technology and impactful services like laser tattoo removal.
