How to Prepare for an Aesthetic Tradeshow

Astanza is excited to announce we are attending multiple aesthetic tradeshows this year! Engaging with people face-to-face and educating them on our FDA-cleared, medical-grade aesthetic laser devices and our all-encompassing support system – the Astanza Experience – through these tradeshows and events is one of the most impactful ways we can share our industry expertise with the aesthetic world. We’ll share strategies for business owners on how to prepare for an aesthetic tradeshow as well. Be sure to come visit us at the following shows this year:

As we prepare for these events, we wanted to remind all laser business owners of the benefits of attending a tradeshow. Tradeshows are a great way to network, learn about new products and trends, showcase your own products and services, and meet new potential prospects. However, preparation is key to making the most out of your tradeshow experience. In this blog, we’ll cover some tips on how to prepare for an aesthetic tradeshow.

Determine Your Aesthetic Tradeshow Goals

The first step in preparing for a tradeshow is to set clear and actionable goals. Determine what you want to accomplish by attending a tradeshow. Are you looking to meet new clients? Showcase a new laser or service? Network and connect with like-minded business owners? Setting clear and measurable goals will help you focus your energy and efforts on what is important and bring you a better return on your investment.

Plan Ahead

Once you’ve set your goals, start planning ahead. Make a list of the things you need to do before the tradeshow, such as ordering marketing materials and advertising your attendance on social media and your website. Ensure you understand the show’s layout well, so you know how to navigate the space, where your booth is located, and how to set it up so it’s visually eye-catching for attendees.

The same methodology should be applied to your annual marketing efforts, too. We highly recommend outlining your weekly, monthly, and quarterly plans for the year. This will help you stay organized, know when to post on social media or your blog, and keep your clients and prospects engaged. Carefully outlining your annual aesthetic laser business marketing plan sets you up for success and takes the “guessing” out of your day-to-day operations and promotions. Prepare Your Booth

Your booth represents your brand, so making it look professional and engaging is essential. Be sure to order any necessary supplies, such as banners, brochures, tablecloths, swag kits, and business cards, well in advance, and make sure your display is easy to set up and take down. You’ll also want a strategy for showcasing your products or services, whether it’s offering demos, giveaways, or other promotional items. Using a sign-in sheet to gather attendee information is crucial for contacting potential prospects later and securing a consultation or booked appointment. We’ll talk more about best practices for following up in a few paragraphs.

Train Your Staff

If you bring staff to the tradeshow, be sure they are well-trained in your products and services and know how to interact with potential clients. Have a suggested script or talking points to help guide conversations, and make sure your staff is both knowledgeable and engaging. Dressing appropriately and professionally should also be considered, as your staff’s appearance can impact how potential clients view your brand. While you don’t have to dress in a suit and tie at a tattoo convention or aesthetic health and beauty event, wearing a T-shirt with your business’s logo will help create brand awareness and allow others to easily recognize you and your staff.

Promote Your Attendance

Promoting your attendance is the most important step when preparing for an aesthetic tradeshow. Use your social media channels and website to promote your attendance so your clients, followers, and potential customers can visit your booth. Consider offering special promotions, raffle prizes, or other dazzling incentives to encourage them to attend the aesthetic tradeshow and visit your booth! You should also utilize email blasts or include information in your regular newsletter to promote your presence at the aesthetic tradeshow or tattoo convention.

Follow Up With Your Leads

Following up after the tradeshow is absolutely crucial to maximizing your return on investment. When planning for your aesthetic tradeshow booth or sponsorship, make sure to have a method for collecting information from the people you network with at the event. Consider using some type of sign-in sheet or tablet to gather names, phone numbers, and email addresses. Be sure to follow up with these potential clients or leads you meet by sending a personalized email or phone call. If you don’t receive an immediate response, don’t get discouraged! Following up takes time, multiple touchpoints, and consistency to ensure any new contacts you made are reminded of your interaction and persuaded to come in for an appointment. This will help build relationships and increase the likelihood of future business.

Attending an aesthetic tradeshow can be a valuable experience for your business, but preparation is essential. By setting clear goals, planning ahead, preparing your booth, training your staff, promoting your attendance, and following up, you’ll be well on your way to making the most of your tradeshow experience. Increasing brand awareness ultimately increases your clientele base – so be sure to consider all of these steps for a successful tradeshow experience for your aesthetic laser business.
