Vascular Laser Results with the MeDioStar®

Vascular laser procedures have gained immense popularity in recent years as a safe and effective way to treat various vascular issues, such as spider veins, varicose veins, and broken capillaries. These procedures offer a non-invasive or minimally invasive approach to address these concerns, and one of the key players in this field is the Asclepion MeDioStar®, backed by Astanza. The MeDioStar® is a cutting-edge diode laser that can significantly improve the results of vascular laser procedures with the correct accessory.

Understanding Cosmetic Vascular Concerns

Several vascular concerns can be treated with medical-grade lasers that are non-invasive or minimally invasive procedures.

Spider Veins – a common vascular concern, are small, visible blood vessels that appear as red or blue lines on the skin.

Varicose Veins – appear on the legs but are more prominent and twisted veins that may cause discomfort.

Hemangiomas – vascular birthmarks made of extra blood vessels in the skin.

Using a laser with the right wavelength can effectively and safely remove these types of cosmetic vascular conditions without the need for a more invasive solution such as surgery.

The MeDioStar® Advantage

Asclepion MeDioStar®, backed by Astanza, can remove vascular lesions such as spider veins, varicose veins, and hemangiomas with the 940 nm vascular (VAS) handpiece. The laser emits this wavelength of light absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood, coagulating the blood vessels. Over time, the body naturally eliminates the damaged vessel, leaving the skin clear and free from the appearance of visible veins.

The MeDioStar®’s vascular handpiece has a spot size of 0.12 cm2, with a maximum fluence of 210 J/cm2 and up to 4 Hz. Its flat-top beam profile guarantees the same fluence over the entire treatment area, reducing the chance of overlap and retreating a covered area. The handpiece is designed with a skin-cooling mechanism to numb the site before, during, and after the treatment to create a more comfortable experience for your patients. The 4 x 3 mm spot size allows large treatment areas to be covered in less time, making for shorter treatment sessions and quicker recovery for your patients.
